About

Located in southeast Nebraska, approximately one hour from both Omaha and Lincoln, (see red arrow).  The dominant topography of Bowhunter Haven is steep ravines and ridges covered in native hardwood timber. From the ridges, you overlook the Missouri River bottom to the east and north.

Surrounding Bowhunter Haven are thousands of acres of Nebraska cropland and the Missouri River flood plain.  The primary crops of the region are corn, soybeans, and alfalfa.  Our hardwood timber is home to oak, walnut, and hickory producing bountiful crops of acorns and hickory nut mast.  These native protein producers coupled with bountiful croplands are a natural habitat for plentiful and large deer. In addition, we supplement the food base with several food plots using both annual and perennial plants. This in combination with our ongoing herd management allows for several trophy bucks each season.

For the deer hunter we have tree stands placed in prime deer traffic areas.  We require you to wear a safety belt while in the stand. Stalking is not allowed.  We also have portable blinds and decoys for the turkey hunter.

We provide transportation to and from your hunting location and assist in retrieving your deer via 4-wheel drive vehicles equipped with winches.
