Requirements

  • Signed release of liability upon arrival
  • When hunting in elevated stands a safety harness must be worn and properly secured
  • Hunters ages 12 through 29 must have proof of Hunter Education Certificate
  • We do NOT allow stalking
  • Must have Nebraska deer or turkey permit
  • Must have Nebraska habitat stamp

Deer Hunts – Bowhunting

We do not allow rifle hunting.

Archery season is September 15th thru December 31st.  We offer a limited number of six day hunts.  Each hunt is limited to a maximum of four or five hunters.  Our hunt package includes:

  • Six full days of hunting
  • Accommodations throughout your hunt
  • Plentiful home-cooked meals
  • Semi-guided hunts including transportation via 4-wheel drive vehicles
  • Deer retrieval assistance
  • Use of numerous stands placed in prime areas plus additional stands to place for changes in deer patterns
  • Covered shed with chain hoists.  Perfect for hanging, weighing and skinning your deer
  • Taxidermists available locally

Turkey Hunts

Bowhunter Haven has numerous flocks of turkey that reside on our property primarily because of the prime habitat and bountiful crops.  We have the Eastern and Merriam species.  The Eastern is considered the largest and most difficult to hunt of all the North American species.

We offer both archery and shotgun hunts.  Although the season opener will vary from year-to-year, historically our archery season opens at the end of March and shotgun opens in mid-April.  Both seasons extend until late May.

Our most popular package for spring turkey hunting features:

  • Hunting for a full three days with a two bird limit.
  • Accommodations throughout your hunt
  • Home-cooked meals
  • Semi-guided with transportation on our property.  We will suggest areas known to attract turkeys
  • Decoys and ground blinds provided
  • Elevated stands available
